When I’m not CrossFitting, I usually hang-out with friends or spend time with my loved ones which always includes “Chardonnay and Convo” (you’ll learn more about that later). I love golfing and playing outside, so I always end up participating in some random mud run or weird outdoors event my friends talk me into. Hey, you only live once right, why not do something fun and crazy!

Advice for someone starting or wanting to start CrossFit

My advice to someone looking to start CrossFiting would be to first ask yourself “why would I pay to sweat through my clothes, get blisters on my soft hands, run around in knee high socks, use the word WOD in every sentence and high-five a friend/friends after a 50 minute WOD (workout of the day) in 98 degree heat?” You know why, because it’s FREAKING awesome. And it feeds that competitive fire you once had or still have, plus combining CrossFit with a low carb clean eating lifestyle will have you lean and turning heads when you “pop the top” aka taking your shirt off if you’re a guy. If you’re a female, it’ll build the best backside that’ll make it hard for even you to keep your own hands off! So get to a CrossFit box and sign up ASAP!! If you’re in the process of starting your CrossFit journey; remember to leave your ego at the door and focus on your overall fitness goals. Select a Gym/Box that takes pride in caring for their members and fits your fitness goals. Hey, “Rome wasn’t built over night”. You’ll get results if you trust the process and stay the course! What brought you to coaching?

An old high school friend brought it to my attention one day while we were having lunch. He said, “dude, you should totally coach people or become a personal trainer since all you do is workout, CrossFit and read muscle magazines.” Then the opportunity open up to attend the CrossFit Level 1 Certification at my box and the rest was history. I love motivating people, laughing and talking loudly so coaching was right up my alley.

Favorite toppings on pizza?

My favorite pizza would have the characteristics of an Italian sub with a Philly touch. Stop drooling-sounds good, I know! Oh yeah, it must be thin crust. I hate thick crest pizza Makes me feel bloated!
